Uma Educational & Technical Society (UETS), established in 1988 in Kakinada, Andhra Pradesh, is a pioneering non-profit organization committed to the rehabilitation, education, and empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (PwDs). Founded by Mr. S.P. Reddy, M.A. (Psychology), the organization was born out of the vision that society must work collectively to eliminate discrimination between ability and disability by promoting awareness, prevention, and inclusion.
UETS delivers a continuum of care—from Early Intervention to Livelihood Development—through a range of structured and impactful programs. We provide essential services in the domains of health, education, social inclusion, skill development, and empowerment, focusing on the holistic development of individuals with physical, intellectual, and multiple disabilities.
The organization is equipped with barrier-free infrastructure, modern assistive equipment, and a team of qualified and experienced professionals. UETS also plays a key role in human resource development in the disability sector by offering RCI-approved training courses for special educators and rehabilitation professionals.
With active operations in Kakinada, East Godavari, West Godavari, Prakasam, and Vizianagaram districts of Andhra Pradesh, as well as Yanam (Puducherry UT), UETS has become a trusted partner in inclusive development.
Our commitment has been recognized through five National Awards and three State Awards, honoring our relentless service. In recognition of his leadership, Sri S.P. Reddy was elected as the Zonal Coordinator (Southern Zone-I: Andhra Pradesh & Telangana) by the Rehabilitation Council of India, New Delhi, in 2017–18.
